The Ottawa Woodworkers Association (OWA) is organising the woodworks conference on the weekend of the 26-28 of September 2014. After seeing the first link to the event, I started to poke around on the web site of the event and did not wait too long to register.
Here are a few conference speakers :
- Chris Schwarz – Lost Art Press
- Tom Fidgen – Unplugged Woodshop
- Garrett Hack
- Ron Barter – Rosewood Studio
- Mark Harrell – Bad Axe Toolworks
- Linda Manzer – Manzer Guitars
- Konrad Sauer – Sauer & Steiner planes
There will also be a market place so that we, participant, can feast our eyes and spend a little :-). The event is held at the Algonquin College
Heritage Institute, Perth, Ontario. Although I am not a local, I would encourage people around the area to participate. For me, this is pretty much the closest I could get to most of these speakers, even though it is a bit over 2 hours drive from home, but I’m sure it will be worth the stay close by for the week-end.
The event is pretty close to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada’s capital and host to many attractions if you ever want to extend your stay beyond the conference.
Here is the official Web Site of the conference so that you can get all the necessary information if you are interested to attend.
